Our
customer has decided his truck would be more useful with a
large flatbed on it as opposed to the 5th wheel
currently in use. We enjoy fabricating unusual stuff so this
is right up our alley. |
|
| All you
need is a couple new hacksaw blades and a good right arm and in
a few hours this is what you get. OK I lied. You need a good
power saw and lots of blades and a couple of hours. |
|
Roll the 2
pieces apart a few feet then start installing the new rails
you had made. Used frames are not a good plan as they can be
impossible to find and may be twisted from years of abuse.

|
| This
photo may be a bit misleading as we really did not stretch the
frame the length of the van in the background. The new metal
added is 8 feet long and what you don’t see is the 5 feet we
added to the rear of the frame. This truck now has a 24 foot
deck for carrying grape bins. |
